West African Percussion with Michael Afolayan<\/span><\/a> for all levels<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The basis of West African percussion is polyrhythm. The synthesis of three or more rhythmic motifs make up rhythms. In these lessons we come in contact with the dynamic and therapeutic properties of polyrhythms through African traditional rhythms, involving voice and body, creating an interactive experience that promotes individual expression and team spirit. The instruments we learn are called djembe and dundun. Students may attend other percussion classes of Anasa as well as participate in practice sessions of mixed levels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beginners Workshops every Monday and every Tuesday at 19:00<\/p>\n

Group Workshops: 40 euro per month, plus Annual Registration fee 10 euro<\/p>\n
